Does your contractor provide public liability protection against law suits?
Does your contractor provide protection against property damage?
Does your contractor provide trained service technicians and authorized materials for repairs?
Will your contractor draw a municipal job permit when required by ordinance?
Will your contractor provide financing for the materials and labor required to complete the job?
Will your contractor offer a service agreement which extends repair coverage for materials and labor?
Will your contractor provide for worker's compensation if a laborer is injured on your property during the installation? If not, you can be sued and held responsible for all injury claims as well as loss of compensation for the duration of the injury.
Will your contractor be responsible for any damage that might result due to the installation to your personal property or your neighbor's property?
Will your contractor provide you with a written estimate/proposal with a three-day right of cancellation clause for your protection once the proposal has been signed?
Is your contractor fully insured, licensed, bonded and willing to show you all credentials for the above if requested?
Is your contractor's reputation as important to him as your home or building is to you?
